A Blog in the Classroom

I suppose I would use my blog in the classroom like if I were to post some ideas on how I would teach a class and have feedback on the ideas from the comments I would receive. I would also use it to provide my students with information on a particular subject I am doing, like instead of using power point I could probably use the blog like a power point presentation, using the features of the blog to bring my topic across to the students, with pictures and maybe even video. I could also post homework as well and inform parents about the blog so they can view the homework their children have and could help with. 

How can students use the blog? Well aside from looking for their homework and viewing presentations that were given in class, I guess they could use it as a journal and speak about how they feel as they learn and participate in class. They could probably also use it to bring out their creativity and their ideas and speak about how they feel on anything really. 

There's probably more uses, but those are the few I can think of. What do you think?
