Hola a todos ustedes (bad spanish, right?)
Anyway...
My 2nd week in the EDET class only brought more interesting info I had never learned before. I learned about the 9 intelligences by Howard Gardner. I didn't know such an idea existed but it was quite the eye opener. I also learned about the theories of learning, some of which were by Piaget (someone I'm learning about in Psychology), Vigotsky (another person I'm learning about in Psychology) and others. (Piaget and Vigotsky were more notable to me since I had only started learning about them in...where? You guessed it, Psychology class.) I also did a power point presentation which was about the Concepts of Learning. My definition that I had to make for it wasn't great and the font wasn't quite visible, but it was pretty. I hope to do better next time.
The theories of learning is already a little tricky for me, and although I may understand them I don't think I can quite explain them without giving an example and as I remember an argument I once heard, it was said that an example is not really a meaning, only your understanding of what a word means, your understanding might not be another person's. I thought that was an interesting point and I really want to do really well on my exam (really), so I think giving examples would be out of the question.
As I study I hope I get a better understanding and do even better at what is given to me to accomplish.
